My blog started as “an expat’s tale” all about our new expat life. I have been documenting my families transition from normal life back in South Carolina to the selling of our home, moving around the world and officially becoming expatriates.

Becoming an expat: In this section, I wanted to share our story of receiving the news about our move, the process of selling our home, the first flight over to Thailand and everything in between.

Expat with a kid: Since I am a stay at home mom, I  have plenty of time to find kid activities around town. Here you will find stories about our drama as a toddler and mom surviving in Bangkok- the good, the bad and the ugly- along with reviews of kid friendly events and establishments.

Life in Bangkok: Here you will find reviews of local establishments and stories of our daily lives as expats in the Big Mango.

Repatriation: In this section, I wanted to share our journey to assimilating back into the American culture when we head back to the States at the end of 2015. Keep in mind, this repatriation time of culture shock, finding a home, and getting established will all have the added bonus (read stress) of a newborn baby girl but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
