As you know Killi has completed his first term of therapy, we are now in the second term and hopefully when he has finished this round he will be ready for school in September. Since Killi has improved greatly on his social skills we are focusing more on the speech. It’s pretty exciting as a parent when your kid, who was almost completely nonverbal, is now blabbering on all the time. I just wanted to share with you some of the new words that he is saying.
Week 1
- Fix it
- Did it
- Ju ju (juice)
- Dog dog
- Nana (banana)
- I like
- This
- Bear
- Cook cook (cookie)
- Mote (remote)
- Cup
- Throw
- Chu chu (train)
- No no
- Oh no!
Week 2
- Ball
- Door
- Cracker
- Bowl
- Poo
In addition to the words being spoken, imitation has really taken off. He will look at me, put his finger on his lip, and say “shhhhhh” when he doesn’t like what I am saying. He will also imitate the dog on Shaun the Sheep with the same noises and finger shaking as he instructs the sheep on what to do.
Keep saying prayers for his progress!
Until next time…
Wow! Becky, this is really terrific! I will definitely keep Killian in my prayers and both of you too! God is good. God Bless…Terry Bays

I love reading your blog. I miss all of you and this is a very real way to enjoy the adventure with ou. Thanks. Dad Horace
MoMMom took Tommy to therapy because he was introverted in 1st grade. The therapy worked so well that we couldn’t shut him up.
We used to have to put duck take over his mouth. Now you know how he got this way.
